On Monday, June 6, 1904, the remains of Daniel Kingsley were borne to their last resting place in the Fish Lake cemetery in the town of Deerfield, Wisconsin.
Mr. Kingsley was born in Buffalo, NY., Jan, 11, 1824. He was married in early manhood to Murilla Bartholomew, and to this union was born one son, Frank, now living in the town of Plainfield. In the spring of 1868 Mr. Kingsley came to Wisconsin, and soon after was united in marriage with Mrs. Phoebe Mills, of Deerfield. To them was born one daughter, Florence, now Mrs. Ernest Davis, with whom deceased had made his home for some time.
"Uncle Dan" as he was familiarly called by a host of friends throughout this community, was a good man. His was a cheery nature, and his hearty handshake with a ready joke and laugh will be truly missed. The genuine sorrow occasioned by his departure was thoroughly evidenced by the large attendance at his funeral. The service was conducted by the Masonic order, of which deceased was an honored and faithful member.
