PASSES AWAY AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

Sylvester H. Priest, 93, died on Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Lidster, in Tobacco township. Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Hall Funeral Home with Rev. E. R. Jehnsen of The Beaverton Brethren Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Priest was born on November 15, 1856, in Paulding County, Ohio. He spent 48 years on a farm in Beaverton and had made his home with his daughter for the past two years. He married Nancy Rebekah Snider in Paulding, Ohio, in 1881. Mrs. Priest passed away in 1922.
Surviving are three sons, Milford, Fred and Carl, of Beaverton; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Lidster, of Beaverton, and Mrs. Ida Gerling of Muskegon; one sister, Mrs. Mary Duggan, of Gladwin; 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
