Born in Greenville County, daughter of the late Frank and Malinda Smith Brown, she was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alma H. Bryson and Mrs. Carol H. Gilreath of Greenville; six sons, Grover N., Ford Robert, Allen Wesley, James Paul, Milton H. and Norwood Thomas Hester of Greenville; a brother, Luther Brown of Travelers Rest, 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reedy River Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
The body is at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carol H. Gilreath, Patrol Club Road, Rt. 7, Greenville.
