Dr. Hardcastle Passes Away in Richmond
The Bee (Danville, VA) - March 3, 1936

Rev. E. L. Hardcastle, formerly of Sutherin, passed away at Restmore Hospital in Richmond last night. A native of Mississippi, Rev. Dr. Hardcastle served many pastorates of the Baptist church in Virginia over a period of many years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice J. Hardcastle of Easton, Maryland. Also three sisters, Mrs. Trystram Stevens, of Baltimore; Mrs. Joseph Thume, of Washington; and Miss Mary Hardcastle, of Easton. Also, by his children, Alice Hardcastle, of Spring Garden; A. B. Hardcastle, of University of Richmond; Mrs. L. T. [Headley], of Baltimore; and Dr. M. H. Williams, of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be conducted in Poolesville, Maryland, at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. R. W. Grant, of South Hill.
