Herman D. Riddle, 64, 2 months, of 509 Hall Street, died at the Owensboro City Hospital Friday night after he had fallen with a stroke at Fourth and Breckenridge Streets. Mr. Riddle, who was a former employee in the City Engineer's Office, was Secretary of Camp 12, 268 of the Modern Woodmen of America, and was a member of the Philpot Masonic Lodge. He was born and reared in Daviess County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Riddle. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Minnie Riddle; a foster-daughter Mrs. Charles Stewart of Dermot, Kentucky; and two brothers Worden Riddle of Philpot, Kentucky and Jasper Riddle of Dermont, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, of which he was a member, at 9:30 a.m. Monday, the Reverend Robert E. Humphreys, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. He was the Son of Charles Thomas Riddle Sr. and Susan (Moreland) Riddle.
