JOHN (LEE) BECKER
John Leland (Lee) Becker, 75, Le Mars, died on Sunday, June 16, 1991, at his home after a short illness.
Services have been set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at St. John's American Lutheran Church, Le Mars, with Rev. David Kramer conducting the services. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Becker was born on Feb. 6, 1916, in Union Township to John E. Becker and Ethel (Franklin) Becker. On August 29, 1939, he married Lorena Christopherson Becker in Le Mars.
As a boy he played in a dance band with his father. He was a longtime farmer, continuing until retiring in Le Mars six years ago. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorena, a daughter, Linda and her husband, George Siggins, Ripon, Calif.; two sons, John and his wife, Diane Becker, Le Mars; Jay and his wife, Kim Becker, Le Mars; a sister, Evelyn Sitzmann, Kingsley; seven grandchildren, Aaron Becker, Justin Becker, Corey Becker, Matthew Becker, Kelli Becker, Sara Siggins and Sally Siggins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
