Chang Cheh was the Shaw Brothers Studio's best known and most prolific film director, with films such as Five Deadly Venoms, The One-armed Swordsman, and other classics of wuxia and Kung Fu films. Chang Cheh passed away at the age of 79, Shortly before his death, Chang received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2002 Hong Kong Film Awards. He will be remembered as the "Godfather" of Hong Kong Action Cinema.
