Barbara Jean Dzara, age 76 of Perryopolis, PA, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. She was born on November 5, 1930, in Brownsville, PA. Barbara was the daughter of the late Emery and Catherine Younga Sedlovsky. Barbara is retired employee from Ames Dept. Store in the Laurel Mall, Connellsville, Pa. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perryopolis.
She is the last survivor of her immediate family. Barbara is survived by three daughters; Deborah Wiltrout, and husband, Karl of Fairchance, PA, Patricia Riggs, and husband, James of Celina, Ohio, Constance McGarth, and husband, William of Greensburg, PA and one son, Louis Dzara, Jr., and wife, Cindy of Smock, PA. She was the proud grandmother of five; James Riggs, Jr., Nina Riggs Griffin, Beth Ann Wiltrout, Mark Dzara and Jessica Dzara and two Great-Grandchildren; Simone and Miranda Riggs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Dzara, Sr. and two sisters; Irene Fishman and Mary Ann Flint, and three brothers; Andrew Sedlovsky, John Sedlovsky and Frank Sedlovsky.
According to Barbara's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Panachida service will be held Saturday, May 12th at 1:00 PM in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 1:30 PM in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perryopolis. The Rev. Father Robert Halus celebrant. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis.
