Alma A. Brost, 86, of Kiel (School Hill), went to her heavenly home on Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2009 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
She was the former Alma Karstaedt, born May 10, 1923 in School Hill daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Koeser) Karstaedt.
On November 27, 1940 she married Erwin Brost in Osman and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1991.
Alma worked at Kohler Co. and Brost Food Market in School Hill, her greatest pleasure was being a homemaker, wife and mother.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill where she was a member of the Christian Women. In her free time she enjoyed cleaning her home, playing cards, gardening, and doing embroidery.
Survivors include her four children, Dennis (Helen) Brost of School Hill, Joanne Bruesewitz of Kiel, Jermaine (Jack) Lechler of Kiel, Joleen (Kevin) Bonde of School Hill. Eleven grandchildren, Lori Kolb, Wendy Scholz, Tracy (Ralph) Billings, Kelly (Jeff) Schad, Ryan Bonde, Missy Brost, Jay Lechler, Mandy Brost, Stephanie Bonde, Andrea Brost, Jeffrey Bonde. Seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Olivares, Becky Olivares, Alex Scholz, Olivia Schad, Erica Scholz, Avery Schad, Eyan Dessellier; two sisters, Hilda Rambadt of Newton, Lorraine Vogel of Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Brost of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin; a brother, Valentine "Hanna" Karstaedt; four sisters, Edna ( Leslie) Henschel, Esther (Norbert) Waack, Selma (Walter) Stoeckigt, Norma (Alfred) Gabsch; a son-in-law, Robert Bruesewitz.
Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery.
