Civil War veteran. His residence was Toledo,OH. He enlisted Age-28 on Jul 11,1862. as 2nd Lt. in Co. B 100th Reg't O.V.I., and promoted to 1st Lt., Jan 8,1863. He was captured & became a POW Sep 8, 1863 at Limestone Station, TN and was confined at Macon,GA. Then, he was moved on Oct 1,1863 to Libby Prison Richmond, VA. He died while a POW at Libby Prison, shot by a guard.
