Mrs. Dyton Bennett, pioneer McIntosh county citizen, died in a hospital in Muskogee Wednesday morning, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at Texanna where she was buried by the side of her husband, Dr. Dyton Bennett, who passed away some two or three years ago. Dr. and Mrs. Bennett came to Texanna almost 40 years ago where the doctor built up a large practice and became one of the largest landowners in the county. Mrs. Bennett had made her home in Checotah since the death of her husband. Surviving are two children, a son and a daughter; County Representative Dyton Bennett of Texanna and Miss Hazel Bennett, student at a girls' school in Denton, Texas.
