Prima B. Smith Hayes 1929 ~ 2009 Prima B. Smith Hayes passed away on July 24, 2009.She was born on December 29, 1929 in Myton, Utah to Stillman Jasper and Adelina Maria Rosa Smith. She married Robert Thomas Hayes on January 13, 1951. He died December 24, 1984.

Prima's greatest achievement was being a great mother, grandmother, and wife. Her accomplishments were overcoming many life threatening illnesses and tragedies. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her was in awe of her endurance and strength.

She is survived by her five children, Pamela (Kevin) Beck, Shauna (Jeff) Severin, Lisa Hayes, Robert (Marji) Hayes, and Thomas (Annie) Hayes; sisters, Lucille Wilson, Alyce (Tom) Giles, and Ardith (Jack) Bailey; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Jacob Maddocks, brothers, Siro, J.R., and Kennith, and sisters, Gladys and Nira.

A special thanks to her second family at Woodland Care Center and to Bristol Hospice. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane (5000 South). A vigil service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
