A lifelong resident of the Buckley/Enumclaw area went home to be with the Lord June 26, 2009 after many years of battling diabetes. He was born December 29, 1956 in Enumclaw, WA. In 1979, after college and the law enforcement academy, Jim began his 29 year police career with the city of Buckley. This included Patrol Officer, Patrol officer detective, full time detective and detective sergeant. He also served with the DEA on a special task force as well as serving as the Wilkeson Town Marshall for nearly 10 years. As a Buckley FTO Jim mentored and trained many officers that began their careers in Buckley. He retired 2008. He also served with the Buckley Fire Dept. between 1980 – 2002 and achieved the position of Lieutenant.
He was a great father and enjoyed time with his boys, his friends & his family. He also liked trips to Spokane to feed the large cats/tigers, and trips to Montana.
