George, along with his four brothers who emigrated to Clay County abt 1821 were first cousins, once removed of President Lincoln.
On their plantation there was the family cemetery. There were eighteen known burials of family and at least one slave named, Alfred Jacob Lincoln. As previously stated, George died in 1848, Julia Ann passed away on September 2,1892 and was buried in the family cemetery.
In the September 30, 1892 issue of Liberty Tribune, an article states, "Judge J.E. Lincoln had the remains of relatives moved from the burying ground at the old Lincoln Cemetery to the New Cemetery, this week. The remains of his father and eighteen other relatives were moved."
The relatives were: Elizabeth Lincoln [mother of George ?], George Lincoln, Ann Beauchamp, Fanny F. Beauchamp, Julia Beauchamp, Thomas Beauchamp, Jane C. Howard, Lucretia Howard, Edward Lincoln, infant son Lincoln, Lora Lincoln, Mary A. Lincoln, Mary P. Lincoln, Peter G. Lincoln, Robert T. Lincoln and one slave, Alfred Jacob Lincoln.
