Mrs. Maggie E. Bullock.

Maggie E. Latherow, who passed quietly March 17, 1914, at the age of 60 years and 3 months, was the second child in a family of eleven. She was born to George and Isabelle Latherow in Pennsylvania on January 17, 1853. When she was only three years old her parents moved with her to Illinois where she spent the greater part of her life.

She was married to A. R. Bullock August 26, 1875. To this marriage six children were born--Earl V. Bullock, of Nebraska; Lena J., of LaPlata, Mo. Julius A., of Idaho; Mrs. Blanche E. Kelso, Owen G. and Edgar A., of LaPlata. She leaves her husband and all her children to sorrow at her departure; also seven brothers and sisters--James B., T. J. Latherow and Mrs. Thomas Geddes, of Fountain Green, Ill., Mrs. Mary Mesick, of LaHarpe, Ill., Mrs. Carl Lionberger, of Memphis, Mo.; Mrs. Will Newland, of Sand Point, Idaho and Mrs. Ralph Mesick of Los Angeles, California.

About thirteen years ago she came with her husband and family to LaPlata, Mo., where she made her home until her death.

In 1886 she became a member of the Congregational church in which church she lived and worshipped until her coming to LaPlata, when she became a member of the Presbyterian church. Always loyal and true to her church, she has proved her love and devotion to her Master and Lord. As an earnest, faithful member of the Woman's Missionary Society, she has done what she could in sending the Gospel to all the world. Although she has been in failing health for a number of years this even has not kept her from the work and worship of the Lord's House, and the Kingdom.

Quietly and peaceably she slept, for Master had called her to enter into the "Joys of Her Lord" and her family and friends and neighbors "rise up to call her blessed."

Services were conducted from the residence by her pastor and the body laid to rest in the LaPlata Cemetery.--LaPlata Missouri, Republican.
