Amelia Gertrude 'Babe' Moriarty went to be with her Lord early in the morning of May 23, 2006 in Huntsville.
She was born November 1, 1920 in Grimes County to Bernie and Teresia "Kroll" Husky.
She married Connie Moriarty, the man she met and said he was the one for her, and they raised five children to be good strong, independent and responsible Christians. All five are a tribute to her leadership.
She may have gone on to be with Connie who preceded her in death but when you see anyone from her family you will remember the little things she may have done to touch your life. She loved food, so naturally she was a good cook. She always had a big garden and encouraged her children always to have one too! She and Connie always had an open home policy and you were always welcome to share a meal with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband Connie, parents Bernie and Teresia Husky, brothers John and Leon Husky and great-grandson Trent Murphy.
She is survived by son Daniel Moriarty and wife Helen of Richards, son Lanny Moriarty and wife Donna of Richards, daughter Connie Kay Kimich and husband Daniel of Richards, son Bobby Moriarty of Richards and son Gary Moriarty and wife Charlene of Anderson along with 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and sister Ernestine Harman of Montgomery and two nieces Donna and Barbara.
Services will be held Thursday May 25, 2006 at 10 AM at the Richards First United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Richards Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.
A Rosary and visitation will be held Wednesday May 24, 2006 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery at 850 Eva from 5 to 7 PM with the Rosary will begin at 7 PM.
