Virgie M. Miller, age 82, of Griffith, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009.
She is survived by five children: William (Diane) Miller III, Larry (Linda) Miller, Judith (Edward) Blair, Linda (Gerald) Cooper and Norma (Russell) Shelton; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband, William, in 2001; son, Bobby (late Pauline) Prince; and great grandchild, Angellena.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave., Highland, IN. Interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Friends and relatives may meet with the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Virgie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all her family. Virgie loved to play bingo, go fishing and play dice games with her family.
