Civil War veteran, wounded at Battle of Corinth. Son of Anna Cammack Yeager and Battle of New Orleans veteran Lewis Yeager born 1794 in Laurens County, South Carolina. Lewis is son of Revolutionary War veteran John Yager born 25 Nov 1750 in Culpeper County, VA; son of Michael Yager b. 1728 in Spotsylvania County, VA; son of 1717 immigrant and Germanna Colonist Adam Yager b. 1708 in Germany; son of Nicholas Yager b. 1678 in Germany, immigrant to the 1717 Germanna Colony in Virginia.

Daniel was married three times: first to Emily A.T. Woolley in Bibb County, AL (no children); second, to Lucinda Dodd in Lauderdale County, MS, (7 children: Marietta Wayne, Martha C., Daniel Parker, Virgil Newton, Lucinda Jane, George Gilmore Garrison Gann, and John Alexander); and third, to Elizabeth Jane Sawyer in Lauderdale County, MS(6 children: Harvey Lewis, Narcissa Elizabeth "Cissie," Aubert, Dottie Priscilla, Fletcher William Orman, and Gus Harmon, Sr.).

I have been unable to find the graves of his first two wives: Emily A. T. Woolley Yeager or Lucinda Dodd Yeager. It is possible that Emily remarried to William F. Greer on 31 Oct 1860 in Lowndes County, MS (Source: Mississippi Marriages, 1826-1900, which gives her name as Emily A. F. Yeager).
