Funeral services for Delbert Leon Lindsey, 61, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1, 1995 at the First Baptist Church of Apache with the Rev. Doyle Wilburn, pastor, officiating and assisted by the Rev. A.L. Swagerty, director of the Caddo County Baptist Association in Anadarko. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Crews Funeral Home.
Mr. Lindsey died April 27, 1995 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born August 17, 1933 west of Apache and married Patricia 'Pat' Ann McMichael on January 28, 1956 in Boone. Lindsey was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the Directorate of Public Works, Civil Service, at Fort Sill until he retired in 1990. He was also a farmer and member of the First Baptist Church of Apache. He was preceded in death by one daughter; his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Kenny and Christa Lindsey of Apache; two daughters, Cathy and Wendell McCrary and Diana and James Jackson, all of Apache; five grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Lindsey of Fletcher; and three sisters, Juanita Woods and Pearl Escott, both of Apache and Frances Gunther of Fort Cobb.
