PEORIA -- George R. Bussman, 83, of Peoria died at 10:25 a.m., Monday, June 3, 1996, at his residence.

Born April 17, 1913, in Peoria to Fred and Philipinia Kampf Bussman, he married Dorothy F. Harlan on Aug. 23, 1952, in Peoria. She died Oct. 12, 1994, in Peoria. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, one being Larry W. Bussman of Peoria.

He was employed at Summer Products Co. of Bartonville for 41 years,retiring as a machinist in September of 1978.

He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran.

He was a member of Christ Alive! Fellowship Church in Peoria. He also was a member of Temple Masonic Lodge No. 46 AF&AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; and Mohammed Temple Shrine.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Wilton Mortuary. Rev. Dr. D. Dean Follis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Dickinson Cemetery, Dunlap.

Memorials may be made to his church or the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children.
