Funeral services were conducted yesterday morning by Rev. Ernest E. Tuck at the Honeycutt Chapel for S. C. Barnhart, well-known farmer of the Cove District, who passed away at his home Monday after an attack of heart trouble and pneumonia. He was born July 7, 1870 in Franklin County, Kansas.

Surviving are his wife, Nina; four daughters Miss Willena Barnhart of Ellensburg, Mrs. Tracy Duerfeldt of Tacoma, Mrs. Ollie Meyer of Spokane, and Mrs. Roy Lindsey of Portland; two sons, M. F. of Ellensburg and R. E. of Tacoma; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Barnhart of Wenatchee; two brothers, E. E. of Hollywood and John of Mountain Home, Idaho; and a sister, Mrs. John Crist of Wenatchee.

Mr. Barnhart lived in Tacoma for several years, being connected with the Singer Sewing Machine co., Sherman-Clay Co. and the radio department of McMillan Bros.
