Against the objections of her conservative family, Evangeline began studying astrology when she was 18.

Before practicing as a full time astrologist, she was engaged to a Mr. Lord, possibly her employer. Evangeline broke the engagement, which was scandalous in the 19th century.

She was consulted by many high ranking executives, business potentates, politicians, actors and actresses. She had a very popular radio show from 1930-1.

Lewiston, MA (son of Rishworth (75255621 1826-1886) and Rebecca (75255513) Jordan) and Elizabeth Alma Bonney (20900889 1857-1939), b. abt 1856, Foxboro, MA (dau of Hiram (20900865 1813-1895) and Josephine S. Bonney). His parents married 12/25/1889, Foxboro, MA, when his mother was 33. His father was a clerk at the time of marriage.

Her books were published after her marriage to George. She was arrested in 1911 and 1914 for fortune telling, but was acquitted. Many of her famous predictions came true, others did not.
