Born Dec. 6, 1916, in Raiford, OK., she graduated high school at Eufaula, Ok., attended Connors Junior College, Western Oklahoma College, and received her degree at Northeastern Oklahoma in Talequah, OK. She married William U. Nunn in 1939 and was an elementary school teacher for 37 years in Pearce, Lenna, Eram, Olney, and Bradley, Ok., Brownfield and Iowa Park, TX. public schools, having a positive influence on thousands of school children. She passed away at University Park Nursing Home in Wichita Falls, TX at the age of 92. Flossie Nunn is survived by four children, Maxie Nunn of St. Charles, MO., Judith Krebs of Iowa Park, TX., Gary P. Nunn of Marble Falls, TX., and Steve Nunn of Iowa Park; and grandchildren Josh Nunn of Columbia, Mo., Lukin Nunn of Nashville, Tn., Jeffry Krebs of Keller, TX., Julian Nunn of Austin, TX., Jon Nunn of Iowa Park, TX., as well as several great-grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and lifelong member of the Baptist Church. She will be missed by her loving family, friends and former students. Funeral services in Texas will be held at the Dutton Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Park, TX., Tues., Aug. 4th, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Aug. 3rd from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dutton Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral services in Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday August 5, 2009 at Hanna cemetery.
