Mrs. Mary Hoose
Mrs. Mary Hoose, widow of Thomas Adelbert Hoose, died at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon at her home with her daughter, Mrs. C.J. McAllister at Westville. She had been ill for some time.
Mrs. Hoose was formerly Mary Pratt, the daughter of Jeremiah and Julia Anne (Snyder) Pratt. She was born in Middlefield January 18, 1848. She attended the district schools there, then became a student of the then Albany Normal School. She graduated in 1870. She taught school for a number of years until her marriage to Mr. Hoose. He died about nine years ago, since which time she had made her home with her only daughter.
Two nieces, Mrs. Bertha Price of Oneonta and Miss May Pratt of Albany, and three cousins also survive.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thrusday afternoon from the home. Rev. R.E. Austin, pastor of the Westville Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Westville Cemetery.
