Louden was apprenticed to a cabinet maker and lost all track of the older children. The only one I ever saw or heard of was the sister Mary. He must have been a good cabinet maker, for he was taken into the piano factory as a member of the firm, to oversee the fine woodwork that was put into pianos of that time. A certificate signed on October 21, 1860 by Jenny Lind and the artists appearing with her, stating that the pianoforte furnished by his firm gave them "much satisfaction."
