Mrs. Lavina L. Blass, of Galesburg, Was Resident of Michigan County for Seventy years.
Galesburg, Mich. Aug. 27. Mrs. Lavina Lydia Blass, whose 84th birthday would have been celebrated Sunday, died at her home in this place early this morning. Mrs. Blass was born in Newsted, N.Y., August 28, 1826, and came to Michigan 70 years ago., locating at that time in Calhoun country. She was the widow of William Blass who died here 25 years ago. Mrs. Blass was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of this place. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John McNaughton of Galesburg and a granddaughter Mrs. B.
