John was a son of John & Priscilla Buck.

He was married about 1741 at New Gloucester, Cumberland County, Maine to Sarah Clements.

They had 6 children:

According to the History of Buckfield - "John Buck was a soldier in the French and Indian War and at one time was a captive by the [natives] and came near being massacred, but managed to escape. He died in New Gloucester about the beginning of the year 1761. According to tradition his wife was Sarah Clements. She died a very short time before he did, and both were buried in the same grave".
