Clarence D. Alexander
Clarence D. "Alex" ALEXANDER, 84, formerly of 1120 Pontiac St., died at 9:15 a.m. today at the Rochester Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1906 in Fulton County to Homer and Eileen JOYCE ALEXANDER. He was a lifetime resident of Fulton County. On Jan. 20, 1940 in Rochester he married Lola CASTLE, who died March 2, 1969. He was a retired employee of the Rochester Greenhouses. He was a member of the Rochester American Legion. He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Phyllis) FRIBLEY, Warsaw; a step-son, David HILLERY, Leesburg; two sisters-in-law, including Mrs. Paul (Betty) GORDON, Rochester, and a brother-in-law.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Robert J. SHAW officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Rochester American Legion and VFW Posts.
