C. Ray Angus, born June 11, 1924 in Raines, Utah to Joseph and Mary Angus, the oldest son of seven children, died June 27, 2009 in Victorville. He was 85.

C. Ray and his wife E. Mary of 45 years moved in 1987 from Spokane, Wash. to California. Proudly served his country for 26 years. He was in the United States Navy for four years, and a Command Sgt. Major in the United States Army 28 years.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.

He was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He is survived by sons Charles Ray Jr. of Queens, N.Y., Leonard Angus of California, Thomas Raymond (wife Cheryl) of Tacoma, Wash., and Timothy Lynn Angus; greatly loved nephew Jerry Barker of Price, Utah; many relatives in England, especially his brother Ken (wife Shirley); daughters Pricilla Margaret of New York City, N.Y., Tanya Dimick of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mary Washburn and husband Tom of Victorville, and Suszanna L. Paxton and husband J.C. of Victorville; 16 grandchildren, Warren Angus and wife Brita, Brandon Dimick and wife Angel, Ashleigh Sellers and husband Shenn, Blake Dimick, Tobin Earl and wife Aubry, Joel Earl and wife Kristen, Justin Winters, Brittne Rodriguez and husband Anthony, Justin Earl and wife Kacie, Ember Angus, Alexandrea Wright and husband Lucas, Tykie Paxton, Christian Angus, Kelsey Paxton, J. Cameron Angus Paxton and Hunter Winters; and 14 great-grandchildren, Murphy, Madison, Perrin, Devon, Aleise, Conor, Pason, Jeremiah, Aden, Aizlyn, Mckenzee, Raychelle-Lynn, Laura and Espin.

Ray was an incredible artist and wonderful friend. He will be missed by many friends and his adoring family. We will all meet again and have a great reunion.
