Helen worked in the family service station business for 42 years. She especially treasured her days as an Escambia County Special Needs School Bus Driver where she retired after 16 years, then after one year, returned to drive for another 10 years.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Henry Franklin Morrow; mother, Sarah Armittie Sansom Morrow; brothers, Hokie Smith Morrow, Charles Franklin Morrow and James Columbus Morrow; and infant sister, Shirley Terrell Morrow.
Helen is survived by her high school sweetheart of 4 years who became her loving husband of 62 years, Edwin Asa Stewart, Sr.; sons, Eddie Stewart(Bobbie) and Walker Stewart(Debbie); grandchildren, Christi Caraway(Mark), Heather Stewart, April Carnley(Gary), Bobby Stewart, Shannon Stewart (Melissa), Niki Young(Jeff Dean)and Rende Young(Sheena); great grandchildren, Alex Westergreen, Emma Chavis, Lauren Carnley and Silas Stewart; and sisters Alline Allen, Alla Mae Hurd and Foye Weekley(Hugh).
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19,2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Charity Baptist Church with Pastor James McGoughey officiating. Internment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Edwin A. Stewart, Sr., Edwin A. Stewart, Jr., Walker Stewart, Harry C. Kuchenbrod, Harry Seibert and Walton Kirksey.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Scottish Rite Foundation, Valley of Pensacola, FL or Charity Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanksgiving for the caring and loving staff of both Gulf Breeze Baptist Hospital and Covenant Hospice of West Florida Hospital.
