Margie F. Silveira, 53, of Caruthers, died Monday in a Fresno hospital. She was a native of Oklahoma and a 35-year resident of Caruthers. She spent her adult life as a housewife, and belonged to the Caruthers Grange and the Portuguese organization, CPDES of Fresno. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Tony Silveira of Caruthers; her father, William A. Henson of Arkansas; three daughters, Sharon Colyar of Fresno, Cathy Farmen and Beverly King, both of Riverdale; two sisters, Evelyn Powell and Lorraine Langford, both of Texas; two stepsisters, Nancy Bridwell and Joyce Schumaker, both of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Buchheim Family Riverdale Chapel. Burial will follow in Washington Colony Cemetery in Easton. Visitation is 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Family requests all donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
