Katharine V (McHugh) Cornette of 244 Belmont St, formerly of New York City, died Thursday at St Vincent's Hospital after an illness.

She leaves several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick and Maria (Currie) McHugh and moved to NYC in the 1920s. She returned here in 1982.

Mrs Cornette worked for many years in the fashion industry in New York, retiring in 1979. She donated her body to the U of Massachusetts Medical Center for biomedical research.

A memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, Madison Place is directing arrangements.
