Rose Matousek Rites in St. Paul.
Funeral services for Rose Matousek were held on Friday, May 16th, at 10:30 a.m., at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Robert Rooney offered the Mass of Christian Burial. Mrs. Maurus Eiberger was the organist. Serving as pallbearers were Edward Matousek, Edwin Lukasiewicz, Anton Matousek, Arnold Nowak, Leonard Stepanek and Frank Graus. Burial was in Sts. Peter and PAul Cemetery, St. Paul. the Altar Society attended in a body and formed an Honor Guard. the rosary was recited on Thursday at 8:45 followed by the altar society rosary at 9.
Rose Matousek was born at Elba, Nebraska on November 22, 1898, the daughter of Frank and Helen Boviec Partsch. She grew to womanhood in the Elba community where she obtained her education. On February 24, 1925, she was married to William Matousek at Elba. The couple farmed in the Midway community until 1962 when they moved into St. Paul.
Mrs. Matousek was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith, a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. She had been ill for several months and entered the hospital in St. Paul on Sunday where she died Monday, May 12th, at the age of 81 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, who died March 22, 1975.

Rose Matousek Rites May 16th
Mrs. Rose Matousek of St. Paul, 81, died Monday at the Howard County Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul with the Rosary Thursday evening at 8:45 at the Church.
She is survived by a son Dale of St. Paul, two brothers, victor and Edward Partsch, both of St. Paul, three sisters Mrs. Martha Wiley of Valley, Nebraska, Mrs. Bertha Talley of Omaha and Mrs. Eva Stuckey of Redlands, California, and nieces and nephews.
