COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 03/25/1976
Charles W. Hebel Sr., 85, of 1913 Roanoke Ave., died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Kentucky Baptist Hospital. He retired about 20 years ago as the owner and president of the old Hebel-Hardin Realty Co. (later Hebel Realty Co.) He was a member of the St. Matthews Episcopal Church, the Falls City Masonic Lodge, Highland Post American Legion, the American Legion Forty & Eight and had been a director of the Louisville Board of Realtors. Survivors include his wife, the former Geneva Jones; a son, Charles W. Hebel Jr.; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Book of Remembrance Fund at St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
