ANDERSON — Barbara Louis (Wills) Anderson, 78, passed away Aug. 1, 2009, at Saint John's Medical Center.

Barbara was born May 16, 1931, to Harry and Lela Mae (Peak) Wills. Barbara retired from janitorial services and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.

Surviving are daughters, Marsha Owens, Garnetta (Larry) Armstrong, Jean (Ron) Goree, Gwendolyn (Aaron) Anderson, of Anderson, and Norma Anderson of Arlington, Texas; son, Norman Anderson of Anderson; sisters, Mary Wills and Harriette Wills of Anderson; brothers, Arthur (Donna) Wills of Anderson, Marvin (Sarah) Wills, Charles (Mary) Wills, Joseph Wills, all of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Harriette Wright of Conyers, Ga., Janice (Jeff) Connell of Decatur, Ga., Carla (William) Kelly, Terrance Goree, Donita Goree, Marshell Harris, Teresa (Jason) Townsend, Sheri Armstrong, Larry Armstrong, Teri Armstrong, Trevino Powell, Marcus Jones, Norman Anderson, Robert Anderson, Janeeka Pearson, Melquisha Pearson, Deidra Boatman, Deont'A Anderson, Dominique Broome, Buddy Anderson, Korjontae Anderson, all of Anderson, and Willie (Starla) Mathis of Indianapolis.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lela Mae Wills; siblings, Harry Wills Jr., Ruby Stone, Else Hendricks, Robert Wills, Dorothy Wilkerson, Albert Wills; son, Willie Anderson Jr., and granddaughter, Tara Wills.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., officiated by the Revs. Floyd Edwards and Anthony Harris. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
