William Barnard
William Barnard, Brillion, passed away Thursday morning following a lingering illness.
He was born Feb. 5, 1876, in the town of Brillion, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Barnard. He was a member of the first graduating class of Brillion High School in 1893, and operated a livery stable with his brother at Reedsville and Forest Junction.
In 1916 he moved to the state of Washington where he engaged in mining operations. He returned to Brillion on June 1, 1955 and made his home with a sister, Miss Mae Barnard. She is the only immediate survivor.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Luecker Funeral home, Brillion. The Rev. Alton Lohr of Potter will officiate and cremation will follow the services.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home from Saturday afternoon until the hour of services.
