S. Helen Heims, 92, of Monticello, died July 4, 2004, at 1 a.m. at Monticello
Healthcare Center.
She was born on April 4, 1912 in Frankfort to Myrtle Weaver and Ernest Smock.
She married Charley M. Heims on Jan. 21, 1932, in Crown Point. He died Nov. 23,
1985.
She had lived most of her life in Pulaski County.
She moved to Monticello in 1979.
She loved making quilts, afghans and sewing.
Survivors include sister Alverta Good of Noblesville; daughter, Betty J.
(George) Perry of Monticello; grandson Ron Erb of Indianapolis and Charles
(Shari) Erb of Hilliard, Ohio; Toni (Dave) Wineland of Indianapolis; great-grand
children Jeff (Cassie) Dawson of Fort Knox, Ken., Christopher Wineland of
Indianapolis, Shelbi Wineland of Indianapolis, Landon Erb of Hilliard, Ohio,
Helen Erb of Hilliard, Ohio; and great-great grandchild Nicholas Dawson of Fort
Know [Knox], Ken.
Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 9, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Frain Mortuary
in Winamac, with the Rev. Donald Franklin officiating. Visitation will be
Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery.
