Elsie (Tate) Flack, 94, of Rives died July 22, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home. A former minister of Stanley's Chapel United Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will follow in Stanley's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 am Saturday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
She was born May 31, 1915, in Weakley County, son of the late William Shelby Tate and Myra Melinda (Westbrooks) Tate. She married Floyd Sylvester Flack on June 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death Aug. 16, 1980.
A former resident of Church Street in Rives, she had been an employee of the former Salant and Salant and had also been a sitter at the former Obion County General Hospital. She was a member of Rives Union Church and had attended Stanley's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mable Sue Damrons of Martin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
