FRANKLINTON - Milton C. Bateman, 87, died yesterday at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. Hewas a retired employee of Crown-Zellerbach mill and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Hewas also a veteran of World War II.
He survived by two sisters, Inez Bahm and Netta Miller both of Franklinton; two brothers, Herschel Bateman of Prairieville and Frank Bateman of Hammond and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Dora Bateman.
Visitation will be held at the Crain Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joey Miller and Rev. Otho Schilling officiating.
