Henry W. "Hank" Hoffmann, 82, of Morton, formerly of Peoria, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Fondulac Woods Health Care Center in East Peoria.

Born on Feb. 2, 1925, in Joliet, Ill., to Henry Adam and Alice Viola Linquist Hoffmann, he married Dolores Arline Nieukirk on Dec. 31, 1947, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Lynne (Allan) Vogelsang; one son, Larry (Dianna) Hoffmann; five grandchildren, Monica (Bret) Decker, Rick (Susan) Hoffmann, Torrie (Curt) Reynolds, Nick Vogelsang and Brandon Hoffmann; and five great-grandchildren, Cooper and Libby Hoffman, Baylee Reynolds, and Dane and Garrett Decker.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rick, two brothers, Bob and Bill, and one sister, Dotsy.

He was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II on the USS Intrepid. Hank was an Operating Engineer with Local #649 for over 50 years.
