Dale W. Johnson Sr. 64 of Harrisville, Michigan, died August 29, 2006, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

Born on October 20, 1941 to William and Hazel (Byce) Johnson in Harrisville, he was a lifelong resident there.

He married Diane Kay Tait, they resided in Harrisville where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator in road construction. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local # 324 and enjoyed building animals out of wood for his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was a sister Ruth Clark and a brother Wayne Johnson.

Survivors included his wife, three sons, Kevin A. (Michelle) of Harrisville, David W. (Rochelle) of Grand Rapids and Dale W. Jr. (Teri) of Harrisville; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Elsie Monville, of Mikado, Kate Fox of Harrisville, Clara Daniels of Grand Rapids and Nancy Nutt of Battle Creek; four brothers, Bernard of Chicago, Wilbur of Phoenix, AZ, Raymond of Clair and William of Lexington, KY.
