Nellie Belanger Funeral Service Held in Ritzville
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Belanger were held at the chapel of the Danekas Funeral home Wednesday afternoon. She was 87 years of age.
Mrs. Belanger died at her home at 127 N. S. 77th in Seattle on Saturday. She was the mother of Bert Oestreich of Ritzville. She formerly resided in Ritzville and had lived in Seattle the past 46 years.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Laura Carter of Prosser; and two brothers, Carl Carter of Baker, Ore., and Edward Carter of Sunnyside. Three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Belanger was a member of the Rebekah lodge here and of the auxiliary of C. J. Newland Post of the American Legion. She was a member of the Methodist church.
The Rev. James Updike conducted the service. Milton Sackmann sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Oville Moeller was his accompanist.
Pallbearers were Ervin Oestreich, Roy Oestreich, C. A. Oestreich, George Oestreich, William Oestreich and Victor Rogel. Burial was in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery.
