IRON RIVER-Lillian E. Lindbloom, 88, died April 28 atVallhaven Care Center in Neenah, Wis. after an illness of the past four years.
She was born June 9, 1903 in Beechwood, the daughter of the late Nels and Augusta Peterson. She grew up on a farm in Beechwood and attended the Beechwood schools. In May of 1924 she married Carl Lindbloom and he preceded her in death in 1961. She worked at the Ben Quirts hardware store in Iron River for many years and was a cook in the local restaurants. She later worked at the Crestview Motel, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by one son, Marvin C. Lindbloom of Appleton, Wis.; one daughter Jean Loraine Simons of Mt. Morris; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held May 1 at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River.
Funeral services were held May 1 at the funeral home with the Rev. Quentin Larson, pastor of Grace Covenant Church in Stambaugh, officiating.
Organist Luella Ambach played musical selections "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "He the Pearlie Gates Will Open."
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Nels & Augusta (Hoberg) Peterson had eight children including Lillie Peterson who was born June 9, 1903. Lillie has resided in Iron River all her life and married Carl Lindblom May 24, 1924. He died February 17, 1961. They had two children: Jean of Flint, Michigan; and Marvin of Nina, Wisconsin. Lillie has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
