Nancy Annie Sanders, the fifth child of William Jones Sanders and Mahulda Moore Sanders was born 15 December 1865 in Oglethrope County, Georgia. The Rev. John Chaney married Annie to Louis Anderson Almand on 23 January 1890 at the home of her parents at 5:00 P.M.. She died 30 September 1957 following an extended illness in Comer, Madision County, Georgia. She is buried in the Almand plot next to Louis in the Comer City Cemetery. She died when I was about five years old. The only way I remember her was propped up in bed with pillows and wearing white cotton linens. She and her daughter Ollie Belle did beautiful needlework. She often wore gowns with hand crocheted work on them and for company put her Sunday collar on. I have one of them framed.
