SHIPLEY
Wesley J, Shipley, 83, of 2216 E. Ninth St. died Saturday at DePaul Hospital.
He was born Sept. 20, 1907 in Minden Mines, MO., to Georgia and John Shipley and had lived in Cheyenne most of his life.
He was a hot mix plant operator for the City of Cheyenne, retiring in 1972.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his children, David Shipley of International Falls, MN, Dan Shipley of Golden , CO, Mary Morrell of Cheyenne, Eugenia Johnson of Bonnieville, KY, and Viola Shinn of Redmon, WA, brothers and sisters, Venial Davidson of Bettendorf, Iowa, Gladys Bane and Blenn (Glenn is correct) Shipley, both of Mount Joy, Iowa, and Bessie Bardon of Hill City, KS; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Lillian Shipley on Jan. 21, 1966; Four sisters; and one grandson, Glenn Ray Morrell.
Services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at Wiederspahn Chapel of the Chimes with Wes Jensen officiating and remarks by Lt. Dennis Trimmer.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Vern Johnson, Carl Metz, Chris Fleck and William Weaver.
Friends may contribute to a charity of their choice.
