He was baptized by his father at Lamington,NJ May 4, 1833. He graduated from NYU, class of 1850 and from Princeton Seminary in 1853. George Mancius was then ordained by the Presbytery of Passaic. He held pastorates in Chester, NJ, Racine, WI,and Lyons Farms, NJ before being called to Tappan, NY in 1864, where he served until 1882. He died in the parsonage of Roselle Presbyterian Church, the home of his brother. Rev. I.A. Blauvelt. He and Jane had five children, all of whom are linked below.
