Mrs Edith Crawford
For many years a resident of Altoona, died at her home 432 W Edwin St, Williamsport at 1:50 o'clock Saturday morning of pneumonia. She was born at Curtin on 31 October, 1866 a daughter of Jorias and Lavinia Walker Peese.
She was twice married first to John Bookhamer who died 36 years ago and later to Oliver Crawford, who was killed in a railroad accident 10 years ago. Surviving are 1 son born to the first marriage Ray Bookhamer and an adopted son, Charles Walters both of this city. One son and two daughters to the second marriage: Paul Crawford of Lakemont, Mrs Hazel Crabtree and Mrs Drusilla Larson of Williamsport. Two sisters and 3 brothers Mrs Sarah Simcox of Jersey Shore, Mrs Belle Reninger of Williamsport, John Peese of Milesburg, Andrew Peese of Waverly, NY, and James Peese of New York City.
Mrs Crawford was an active member of the Wesley Memorial Methodist Church of East Juanita until her health failed and retained her membership even after she moved from the city. The body has been brought to the city and she may be viewed at the Giden Funeral Home until 2 o'clock tomorrow when the funeral services will be held with the Rev. W.L. McClure officiating. Internment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
