William "Bill" Rogan, the only child of Charles and Mayme Jones Rogan, was born May 13, 1915 on the Rogan family farm, half way between Scranton and Bayard.

Bill received his education in a country school, finishing in the Bayard School System.

On his 21st birthday, May 13, 1936 he was united in marriage to Violet Hufferd at Ralston. The couple farmed north of Ralston for three years before moving back to the Rogan farm, with his small daughter, Lois, to work the farm with his dad. In 1954, Bill added his mothers homestead, and relocated to live there, building a new house in 1971. Violet passed away August 25, 1994 and Bill remained on the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four infant children, a daughter, Roberta Murphy on October 28, 1992 and a son, Richard Rogan, on May 26, 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Jean Kinkenon and her husband Donald of Prescott Valley, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.

Bill was active in the Church of Christ in Bayard and Scranton. Bill was honored by his family, respected by his friends and neighbors, and loved by all who knew him. His home was always opened to all, even strangers were welcome.
