Bethel Springs - Vernie C. Flatt, 84, homemaker, died of heart failure Monday at McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer. Services were Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer, with burial in Milledgeville (Tenn.) Cemetery. She was a member of Milledgeville Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Flatt, the wife of Albert Flatt, also leaves a daughter, Geneve Hollin, and a son, Jerrel Flatt, both of Bethel Springs; two sisters, Vergie Kelly and Dora Mae Johnson, both of Adamsville, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
