Henry E. Salkil, 80, of Nixa, MO passed away Friday August 7, 2009 in his home. He was born April 25, 1929 in Brookline, MO., the son of Hershall and Neal Graves Salkil.

He was united in marriage to Henrietta Bebout on September 3, 1949. They enjoyed 59 years, 11 months and 4 days of married bliss. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and farming. He spent most of his life as a dairy milker. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Henry is survived by his wife Henrietta Salkil of the home, two daughters Barbara Cook of Mansfield, MO, and Joyce Fattig of Springfield, MO, two sons, Steven Salkil of Seymour, Mo and Daniel Salkil of St. Louis, MO, two sister; Linna Hancock and Hester Mantle one brother Finis Salkil, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday August 11, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 Pm in the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday August 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel. burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery in Ozark, MO.
